Patrick Williams, Lonzo Ball Ready For Training Camp

With training camp set to open, the Chicago Bulls got good news on the injury front for two important players. Patrick Williams and Lonzo Ball are both ready to participate in practices when camp opens.

There was a recent report that Williams had to shut down summer workouts due to soreness in his surgically repaired foot. Bulls lead front office executive Arturas Karnisovas said that’s behind Williams and that he’s “ready to go” at the start of camp. Chicago and Williams signed a five-year, $90 million contract this summer, which establishes the forward as a big part of the franchise’s future.

Ball is ready to practice after missing the last two-and-a-half seasons while recovering from multiple knee surgeries. The veteran point guard confirmed he won’t play in back-to-back games this season and that he’ll have a minutes restriction. Beyond that, Ball is excited to be back.

“I pretty much have a brand new knee,” Ball said. He also noted that he hopes to be able to play on opening night this season.
