
The New York Knicks have optimism that Mitchell Robinson will be able to return from his ankle surgery late in the regular season. The NBA denied the Knicks’ request for a $7.8 million Disabled Player Exception.
Robinson underwent surgery in December after sustaining the injury Dec. 8 against the Boston Celtics.
Robinson is in the second season of a four-year, $60 million contract.
