Kansas has hired Jacque Vaughn as an assistant coach under Bill Self. Vaughn will replace top assistant coach Norm Roberts, who recently retired.
Vaughn was most recently head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. Vaughn severed as an assistant coach for the Nets under Kenny Atkinson and was elevated to interim head coach in 2020. Vaughn returned to an assistant coach role under Steve Nash and then elevated again to head coach to start the 22-23 season. Vaughn was also head coach of the Orlando Magic.
Vaughn played collegiately at Kansas before his 12 seasons in the NBA.
