Steven Adams and the Houston Rockets have agreed to a three-year, $39 million contract extension. Adams became a key part of the Rockets finishing second in the Western Conference during the regular season and proved he could play alongside Alperen Sengun in their double-big lineup.
The Rockets acquired Adams from the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2023-24 season when he was out injured.
Adams, who is represented by Darren Matsubara, averaged 3.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 13.9 minutes per game during the regular season. In seven playoff games, Adams averaged 5.7 points and 6.8 rebounds in 22.1 minutes.
Adams was in the final season of his two-year, $25.2 million extension signed with the Grizzlies in 2022.
