The Phoenix Suns are involving Kevin Durant in finding his next team via trade. However, the Suns are focused on finding the best deal for the franchise, regardless of Durant’s desires.
Durant has let teams know that he would prefer to be traded to the Miami Heat, Houston Rockets or San Antonio Spurs. Those three teams are the ones that the veteran forward would consider signing an extension with.
Phoenix remains engaged with six-to-eight teams in trade talks for Durant. In those discussions, the Suns have let teams know that they intend to make the best deal for themselves, even if that means sending Durant to a non-preferred destination.
The Minnesota Timberwolves, Toronto Raptors and LA Clippers are the other teams who have reportedly shown serious interest in acquiring the superstar forward. Durant has one year left on his current contract for $54.7 million. He’s rumored to be seeking a two-year extension worth more than $100 million.
