Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Hawks Agree To Four-Year, M Deal

Nickeil Alexander-Walker has agreed to a four-year, $62 million deal with the Atlanta Hawks. Alexander-Walker will receive a player option and trade kicker on the deal.

Alexander-Walker has emerged as one of the NBA’s best two-way guards during his tenure with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Alexander-Walker will be able to play beside both Trae Young and Dyson Daniels.

Alexander-Walker, who is represented by Aaron Mintz, averaged 9.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 25.3 minutes across all 82 games last season for the Wolves.

The Hawks will use their $25.3 million traded player exception they created from the Dejounte Murray deal last summer to absorb Alexander-Walker’s contract while sending Minnesota a 2027 second round pick via the Cleveland Cavaliers and cash.
